Portfolio Spot Check is a series where we review the portfolio websites of graphic designers and give them strategic advice for improving their website and reaching their career goals. These reviews focus primarily on website design, function, and communication. We look at written text, accessibility, and explain ways to update your website in order to connect with your desired audience (the companies you want to work for).
We don't deeply review your individual design projects in this series. We will touch on how they're presented, and if they're helping you with getting closer to your goals. We do look at how you write about and display your work, but we won't be talking about changes you can make to your projects (unless I can't help myself).
Your name and website will be on full display in these videos; we can't make these anonymous. We recommend removing sensitive information (like addresses, phone numbers, any confidential client work) from your website before submitting for a review.
