I found the professional panel talks and the general mingling/networking to be the most informative and helpful. It was encouraging to talk to other design professionals and be assured that this career is worth it and that it does get better. The insights into portfolio design, layout, and what employers are looking for was helpful but talking to senior designers and other senior staff in the design scene in Toronto was the most helpful to me.

Even from initial communications it was clear that Portfolio Review Night was exceptionally well organized. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that was present throughout the entire experience, it made it easy to focus on conversing with other designers. I've connected with a handful of designers outside of the event and I look forward to continuing to grow my network at future Portfolio Review Nights!
